EYFS - People Who Help Us and snow and ice - all in the first week!

The children have had a fantastic week back at school. They have really enjoyed sharing stories about their Christmas holidays and all the excitement that came with them. There has been lots of chatter and enthusiasm as everyone settled back into school life.

The children have returned full of energy and excitement, but are also ready to settle back into routines of learning and play. They have loved starting our new topic, People Who Help Us, and have been very busy finding out about all the important jobs people do to help us in our community.

This week we had a special focus on dentists. The children learned all about how to look after their teeth, including how to brush them properly and which foods help to keep our teeth healthy. One child even visited the dentist this week and kindly shared their experience with the class, which led to some great discussions and questions.

We have also made the most of the winter weather. The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the snow and ice and had lots of fun outdoors, taking part in seasonal play and learning. It has been a wonderful start to the term, and we are looking forward to all the learning ahead.
