In this Reception PE lesson, the children explored different ways of moving balls using various parts of their bodies. They began by rolling balls, experimenting with using their hands, feet, elbows, and even knees, heads and stomachs to control movement. The focus was on developing coordination and confidence while having fun. As the lesson progressed, the children were introduced to balancing balls on rackets, carefully walking and adjusting their speed to keep the ball steady. This activity encouraged concentration, control, and perseverance, with lots of smiles as they practised and improved their balancing skills.
