OPEN DAY - OCTOBER 2026
Starting School in September 2027
If your child is due to start primary school in September 2027, we would be delighted to welcome you to visit our school and see what makes Trawden Forest Primary School such a special place to learn and grow.
We hold a number of Open Days throughout the year, giving prospective families the opportunity to meet our staff, explore our learning environments and find out more about life at our school. If you are unable to attend one of our Open Days, we are always happy to arrange an individual visit at a time that suits you. Simply contact the school office and we will book an appointment for you to look around at a date and time that suits your family.
The online application process for children starting school in September 2027 is now open and all applications must be made through Lancashire County Council (LCC).
Important Dates
Tuesday 1 September 2026 - Applications Open
Applications for Reception places can be submitted from this date. School places are not allocated on a first come, first served basis, so all applications received before the closing date are given equal priority. However, late applications may reduce your chances of securing your preferred school.
Friday 15 January 2027 - National Closing Date for Primary Applications
This is the statutory deadline for submitting your application. Following the closing date, all applications are processed and considered in line with the published admissions criteria.
Friday 16 April 2027 - School Place Offers Issued
Parents will be informed of the outcome of their application on National Offer Day. (If this date falls on a weekend or bank holiday, offers will be issued on the next working day.)
How to Apply
