Good Luck, Year 6!

Next week, our wonderful Year 6 children will begin their SATs, and we wanted to take a moment to wish each and every one of them the very best of luck.

We have watched this fantastic group of children grow into kind, resilient, hardworking and thoughtful young people. They have worked incredibly hard throughout the year, showing determination, perseverance and a real commitment to doing their best.

While SATs are an opportunity for the children to demonstrate what they have learned, we know that these tests do not define them. Their kindness, creativity, humour, friendships and character are just as important—and we are already immensely proud of every single one of them.

As a special message from all of the staff, we wanted to share this poem with our Year 6 pupils:

To Our Amazing Year 6

At Trawden Forest Primary, we’ve watched you grow,
Into kind, brave learners we’re proud to know.
SATs are a chance to show what you’ve learned,
Through all of the hard work you’ve carefully earned.

This is your moment to show what you know,
With all of the confidence helping you grow.
Just try your best—that’s all you can do,
Because we already feel so incredibly proud of you.

Good luck, Year 6 — from all your teachers

We know you will approach this week with courage and positivity, and we will be cheering you on every step of the way.

Good luck, Year 6—you’ve got this!
