Our Year 6 children had a fantastic day at Party in the Park 2026, held at Queen's Park in Burnley and organised by Pendle Sports Partnership.

Throughout the day, the children were split into different groups and had the opportunity to take part in a wide range of exciting activities. One group worked with Extreme Football Skills, where they learnt some impressive football tricks and techniques before putting their new skills into practice in mini football matches – they were brilliant!

Another group enjoyed a mixture of problem-solving challenges and archery, working together, thinking creatively and developing their teamwork skills. Meanwhile, another group took part in Extreme Wheels, where they were taught new skills and techniques on scooters and skateboards.

After a fun-filled lunch break and time playing in the park, the excitement continued with a colourful Colour Run. This was undoubtedly a highlight of the day! The children also enjoyed a dance party, filling the park with laughter, music and huge smiles.

It was wonderful to see everyone encouraging one another, trying new activities and making lasting memories together. By the end of the day, the children were covered in colour, full of laughter and smiling from ear to ear!

A huge thank you to Pendle Sports Partnership and all of the activity leaders for organising such an amazing experience for our Year 6 children.
