Over the past few months, each class has been carefully looking after their potato plants as part of our annual Great Trawden Spud-Off. From watering to patiently watching them grow, our children have shown great care and commitment throughout the growing season.
Some of our Garden Gang children proudly represented their classes by taking on the important task of harvesting their class tub of potatoes. There were some impressive-looking spuds as each harvest was carefully gathered and weighed before the final total was recorded.
The results are now in… but they’re being kept a closely guarded secret!
Which class has grown the heaviest crop and will be crowned our 2026 Potato Growing Champions? Who will lift the prestigious Golden Mr Potato Head Trophy, which will take pride of place in the winning classroom for the year? And which children will each take home one of our famous Spud Buddy prizes?
