To celebrate Roald Dahl Day, our buddies took part in a wonderfully scrumdiddlyumptious activity inspired by Roald Dahl’s much-loved story, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
The children worked together to create their very own Willy Wonka chocolate biscuits. They carefully decorated them with a delicious selection of colourful toppings, using their imaginations to make each biscuit unique. There were some wonderfully creative designs that would certainly have impressed Willy Wonka himself!
It was lovely to see our older and younger buddies spending time together. The older children supported and encouraged their younger buddies, helping them to choose their decorations and create their chocolate masterpieces. The activity gave everyone a wonderful opportunity to talk, share ideas and build friendships across the school.
The children demonstrated our STAR values throughout the activity. They were trustworthy when sharing the ingredients and equipment, adaptable when their designs changed, and remarkable in the care and kindness they showed towards their buddies.
There were lots of smiles, laughter and excitement as the biscuits were completed. At the end of the day, everyone was delighted to take their fabulous creations home to enjoy—a perfect ending to our Roald Dahl Day celebrations!
