In Year 1 we have been learning about watercolours.
We watched an artist Emma Burleigh, demonstrate how to use them and learned different techniques for exploring and using watercolours. We tried using our brush in different ways and discovering the marks we could make. We also tried blending colours together using the 'wet-on-wet' technique.
After exploring we left our painting to dry. We then looked at them and used our imagination to describe what we could see. We added more paint to add details so others could see the same as us.
We had some fantastic creations from simple snakes and underwater scenes to a T-Rex eating chips and putting one up it's nose!
