Yesterday was a wonderfully busy and exciting day for Year 2!

In the morning, the children headed to Forest School where they took on a fantastic teamwork challenge. Using crates, they worked together to move from one side of the field to the other without touching the ground. It was lovely to see them communicating, problem-solving, and encouraging one another as they figured out the best way to succeed.

Later in the day, we were visited by the Fire Service, who spoke to the children about fire safety. They learned what to do in the event of a fire and practised the important safety message: stop, drop and roll. The children listened carefully and asked some thoughtful questions, showing great maturity and understanding.

To end our busy day, we transformed the classroom into a cosy reading space. With pillows and blankets, the children snuggled up to listen to a chapter of our class novel. Afterwards, they had the chance to share their own books with one another, enjoying quiet reading time together in their cosy corners.

It was a day full of teamwork, learning and lovely moments.
