Which class will be crowned our ‘Spud Growing Champions 2026’?
Our annual whole school potato growing competition is back! Last year, Year 3 were crowned the 2025 champions after harvesting the heaviest yield of potatoes.
Every class across the school will once again be putting their potato growing skills to the test.
The challenge has already begun, with the children learning how to prepare their seed potatoes by chitting them to give them a strong head start before planting at the end of March.
Over the coming months, each class will carefully nurture their tubs, hoping to grow an award-winning crop of potatoes.
A trophy and prizes will be awarded to the class that produces the heaviest yield of potatoes.
