Just before half term,

all of Year 5 were invited to participate in a whole day jam packed full of fun. Along with several other local schools and organised by Pendle Sports Partnership, we all went to Seedhill for an action packed day.

The children took part in several activities which included JagTag with EdStart, rock-climbing, archery, bowls and experiencing the Lancashire Music Service bus. All of the children had the most incredible morning in each of their activities. They demonstrated incredibly resilience, teamwork, courage and collaboration by constantly supporting one another and cheering each other on. In the music van, children loved the opportunity to explore a range of unique musical instruments, electrical drumkits, accordions and trombones. Every single child attempted the climbing wall too, with most of them reaching the top!

After a quick pit stop for lunch, we walked over to Nelson and Colne College where children had an afternoon full of cricket skills. Again, children were polite, great sports and really threw themselves into the activities.

Then, the most exciting part of our day! Children took part in a half-mile colour run. Poised with old t-shirts and sunglasses, children ran along a marked out route as marshalls and event organisers showered them with coloured paint powder. Year 5 had the most incredible time and LOVED this final activity. They were full of enthusiasm and excitement on the bus and couldn't wait to show Mrs Stinchon their new looks when we got back to school.

Luckily, it all washed off and only a few traces of paint were left behind today. Thank you to Pendle Sports Partnership for a truly fun FunDay!
