A Visit from The History Man
The children thoroughly enjoyed a special visit from The History Man today as part of our topic all about holidays.
We
explored what holidays were like in the past and compared them to holidays today through a variety of engaging stories, artefacts and props. The children listened carefully, had the opportunity to try on different items, and asked some wonderful questions to deepen their understanding.
As part of our learning, we have also been finding out about travel agents and the important role they play in helping people plan their holidays. The children have loved our new role-play area, Trawden Travel, where they have been busy booking holidays for customers and using their imaginations to create exciting adventures. They have even worked together to make their very own aeroplane!
We are so proud of the enthusiasm and curiosity the children have shown and are excited to see how they continue to develop and extend their learning over the next few weeks.
