Year 3 and 4 have had a very exciting day with Marsden Primary School as part of our Linking Schools Project!
Our day was filled with exciting activities that were designed to allow the children from both schools to learn more about each other and work together. This followed on from our visit to Marsden Primary School in the Spring Term, allowing the children to spend time with the friends they made previously and build their relationships.
The children got the opportunity to play a number of fun curling games, competing with their teams to score the most points. They also completed an art activity where they partnered up with someone from Marsden and created a portrait of each other, allowing them to learn more about their similarities and differences and giving them the opportunity to talk about their hobbies and interests. Finally, the children took part in a (very rainy) Forest School session, where they worked in teams to build dens that could shelter from the rain and even used the fire to roast marshmallows and make s'mores! As you can see from some of the pictures, the children thought they were delicious!
Everyone showed brilliant determination, enthusiasm and teamwork throughout the day and threw themselves into every activity which was lovely to see.
The children all said what a wonderful time they had with their friends from Marsden and hoped to be able to see them again in the future!
